Location: Floating swiftly on the placid backwaters of Alleppey, Palace on Waves is a luxury houseboat owned and run by Pulickattil Tourism Group. Stationed near Nehru Trophy Finishing Point (50 m), it is within 2 km from Alappuzha KSRTC Bus Stand and 6 km from Alappuzha Railway Station. The beautiful Alappuzha Beach is about 5 km from the shores of Punnamada Lake (on which this houseboat floats). Additionally, Vembanad Lake, Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Temple are easily accessible from here. Room Amenities: Guests can stay comfortably in one of the five well-furnished rooms on the lower deck of the houseboat. Featuring large window with beautiful views of the backwaters, each room is furnished with a comfortable bed, wooden chair, bedside drawer and night lamp. Well-kept bathroom have hot and cold water supply and essential bath amenities. Rooms are named after five Indian rivers – Ganga, Yamuna, Sindhu, Narmada and Kaveri. Hotel Facilities: Designed for both leisure and corporate travellers, this two-decked houseboat offers a fine opportunity to experience the unique culture and pristine scenic beauty of Kerala, which is popularly termed as Gods Own Country. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the backwaters and lush tropical surroundings from the cosy lounge or sit-outs as their houseboat gently cruises over the lake. A conference hall on the upper deck can be used to host a formal and informal gathering of up to 130 people. Besides, the courteous staff and life guards are well-trained to cater to the needs of the guests. Dining: Guests can also enjoy sumptuous Kerala delicacies and freshly prepared seafood, including the famed Fish curry Karimeen. In the evening, refreshing tea/coffees, banana fry and onion pakoras are served to guests. Fresh coconut drinks and a fruit basket are offered to guests on arrival.
