Determine jeans sizes

Waist size

An indication that you will find on almost every pair of jeans is the waist size. For this you have to measure the waist circumference (1) and the hip circumference (2). Put the tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist and note the value. Then measure the widest part of your hips. Stand in a relaxed position and measure directly on the skin.

Inseam length

Another important measurement is your inseam (3). To measure it, stand barefoot with your legs slightly apart. It is best to have a friend measure your inseam – also called inside leg length. She simply measures from the foot on the ground to the end of the leg in the crotch. You don’t have a tape measure at hand? Then you can estimate your size using the following formula:

MEN

So I have a friend I do not know now how tall she is but I would say 165 or so. She weighs 52 and wears pants size 36. is that skinny or normal? Because she looks very slim but she doesn’t fit into a 34?
