Device review page 1: MSI MEG Aegis Ti5 11th in review: Extravagant and fast as an arrow The MSI MEG Aegis Ti5 11th sets itself apart from the competition in all respects – whether in design or hardware. It is an extravagant high-end system of the absolute high-end class. In this Hardwareluxx article on the following pages, you can find out how the gaming behemoth, which costs around 4,900 Euros, performs in terms of performance, volume and temperature behavior in everyday use. We put the stylish gaming tower to the test in detail. The MSI MEG Aegis Ti5 11th is a real powerhouse among complete systems. Even the smallest variant relies on an Intel Core i9-11900K and combines it with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, whereby the top version even comes with a GeForce RTX 3090. This means that the fastest components currently available on the market are used. The rest of the equipment of the extremely futuristic-looking tower is also very generous. There is up to 128 GB of DDR4 RAM and two fast NVMe SSDs in a RAID array as well as a supplementary 2.5-inch hard drive with up to 3 TB of storage for the gaming collection. The CPU is cooled by an all-in-one water cooler, and the graphics card does not rely on NVIDIA’s boring reference cooling, but on its own Ventus Edition, which features a thick triple-slot cooler and three axial fans. Modern interfaces, including Thunderbolt, WiFi 6 or 2.5 GBit/s Ethernet, are also available for the high-end gamer. One highlight is the case, which no longer has much in common with a mousy tower case and clearly stands out visually from the crowd. MSI relies on a slim, futuristic design that attracts attention with a mix of piano lacquer look and light effects. The power supply is integrated directly into the stand, whereas the actual hardware components are slightly docked above it. An OLED display is embedded in a dial directly in the front, which not only displays nice animations, such as the manufacturer’s dancing Lucky Dragon, but also allows various settings, such as controlling the volume or the performance profile for the hardware. MSI sent us the absolute top model for our test. It is powered by an Intel Core i9-11900K along with 128 GB of RAM and can boast an MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ventus 3X OC. In addition, there are two 1 TB SSDs in a RAID array and a 3 TB HDD. However, all of this comes at a price: A proud 4,899 Euros.
